Radiography & Intra-oral Scanning

Overview
Curriculum

Radiation safety, positioning technique, image receptors and the digital intra-oral scanning workflow — the theory the assistant needs before touching the sensor.

What you will be able to do

  • Explain ALARA and apply it to your own daily decisions
  • Choose the right receptor and technique for each examination
  • Position a patient so the image is accepted first time
  • Handle and store digital receptors without artefacts
  • Prepare a patient for an intra-oral scan and avoid the common failures

What is included

  • 8 short video lessons, about 45 minutes in total
  • A one-page positioning protocol you can print
  • A final quiz (80% to pass) and a certificate of completion
  • 12 months of access, including future updates

Who it is for

Dental assistants and hygienists who take or prepare radiographs, and reception staff who book imaging appointments.

Certificate of completion for continuing education — not a state-recognised diploma. Taking radiographs requires the legal authorisation that applies where you work. ---
